Drop in a photo and we draw it as a coloring picture, then cut the drawing’s lines as grooves into a two-color printed piece, cut to the drawing’s own shape. A drawing of your own, a name or a pattern works the same way. The dark lines are the piece itself. You paint the areas between them, with the paint kit in the box.

A photo of a person, a pet or a thing is drawn as a coloring picture first, in the style you pick — close up and on a plain background comes out best. A drawing of your own is engraved exactly as it is.

Every one is 3 mm thick. The 5×7 comes with a printed stand that holds it either way up; the shaped plate is cut to your picture with a 3 mm rim.

Drawings come from our drawing step; the last pictures are renders of the factory’s own models — the real cutter and the cookie its stamp presses, the real piece painted — not photographs of printed pieces.

Pick the shape

Cut to the outline of your picture, a 5×7 plate either way up, or a 90 mm round coaster. Every one is 3 mm thick, and the piece on screen is the piece that prints.

Printed to order in our workshop in two colors of PETG, packed with a paint kit and posted to you.

What it is

Factory preview

The lines are grooves, not ink

A dark slab 2.2 mm thick with a light skin 0.8 mm on top, and your design cut through the skin. The dark shows through as the lines; the light areas between them are what you paint. Nothing is printed on the surface, so nothing rubs off.

Two colors, one change

It prints in two PETG filaments — a dark one and a light one — with a single filament change at 2.2 mm, where the slab ends and the skin begins.

A paint kit comes with it

Every piece ships with a paint kit, so there is nothing else to buy. The 5×7 also comes with a printed stand that holds it either way up.

Made one at a time

Your piece does not exist until you order it — the file is built from your design when you add it to the cart, and printed in our workshop.

What a photo turns into. A coloring-book drawing of it, not a copy of the picture: bold closed outlines of the subject with the background left out, in the style you pick — a friendly cartoon, a faithful likeness in marker lines, or a few big shapes for a brush. You see the drawing before the plate, and the plate on screen is the plate that prints.
